Transportation Improvement Program

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is an intermediate range planning document that reflects the transportation expenditures that are planned to be spent over the next eight years. Project details are provided, such as project description, cost, funding source, and funding year. The TIP contains information on planning studies, road improvements, and transit. It is updated every two years.

Amendments and Administrative Changes

2010:

  • Jan. 11 - Administratively Changed cost estimates for ARRA projects in Terrebonne Parish and the City of Thibodaux. Decreased cost of Terrebonne Turn Lanes from $1,850,000 to $1,100,000 and increased cost of Tiger Drive Extension and Thibodaux Overlays to $1,500,000.
  • Jan. 21 - Amended to reflect changes in ITS funding and timing, Overlay of LA 1 @ Matthews funding, Hollywood Road, Acadian Road, Westside Blvd B, and Country Drive funding and timing, Overlay of LA 1 – Assumption Parish Line to LA 20 funding and timing, and Good Earth Transit FFY 2010 program.
  • Feb. 3 - Administratively Changed cost estimates for ARRA projects in Lafourche Parish. Decreased the cost of Lafourche Parish Turn Lanes from $900,000 to $525,000.
  • Feb. 15 - Administratively Changed name and cost estimate for Lockport’s ARRA project. Name changed to LA 1 Signage Improvements and cost estimate changed to $62,000.
  • May 13 - Amended to add Terrebonne Parish Concrete Section Repairs, Phase II (Project Number: S.P. 742-55-0113) to FFY 2010 to account for surplus ARRA funds.
  • May 21 - Administratively Changed Good Earth Transit’s Program of Projects to reflect actual amount of grant funding. The previous estimate was lower than what was actually received.
  • May 28 - Administratively Changed S.P. 855-12-0008 at the request of DOTD. Moved the project to FFY 2009-2010 and increased cost estimate to $855,000.
  • June 2 - Administratively Changed S.P. 855-12-0008 at the request of DOTD. Increased cost estimate to $1,015,372 and changed name to LA 664 Bridge Replacement, St. Charles Str Br Houma @ Approach.
  • June 11 - Amended to include SCPDC’s New Freedom Grant. This was voted on at the January 21 Policy Committee meeting.
  • June 23 - Administratively Changed S.P. 737-55-0011 to include proper name, project clarification, and correct funding amount.
  • August 5 - Administratively Changed contingency amount from 13% to 10%. Added contingency costs to all projects.
  • August 5 - Administratively Changed removed project numbers on all line items.
  • August 5 - Administratively Changed S.P. 855-12-0008 - removed from TIP and the project has already been let.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 246-01-0054 at the request of DOTD. Increased the cost estimate for utility relocation to $8.76 million and changed the funding source to STP<200K. Also revised the FFY to FFY 2009-2010.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 065-91-0017 (LA 24, Company Canal Bridge Replacement) cost estimate and FY.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 855-07-0010 (LA 660, Bayou Terrebonne Bridge Replacement) cost estimate and FY.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 742-55-0002 (Hollywood Road) cost estimate.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 713-55-0100 (St. Anne Bridge) cost estimate.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 829-10-0018 (LA 654 Overlay) cost estimate.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 005-07-0057 (LA 182 - Drain Canal Bridge) cost estimate.
  • August 12 - Amended S.P. 065-06-0040 (Grand Bayou Bridge Replacement) cost estimate.
  • August 12 - Amended to add S.P. 407-04-0043 (LA 308 Curve Improvement) to TIP in FFY 11 at a cost estimate of $400,000 using HSIP funds.
  • August 12 - Amended to add S.P. 407-04-0044 (LA 308 Curve Improvement) to TIP in FFY 11 at a cost estimate of $400,000 using HSIP funds.
  • August 12 - Amended to add S.P. 742-04-0100 (Assumption Pr. Police Jury SR2S) to TIP in FFY 11 at a cost estimate of $302,000 using HSIP funds.
  • August 12 - Amended to add S.P. 742-29-0002 (Town of Lockport SR2S Project) to TIP in FFY 11 at a cost estimate of $214,000 using HSIP funds.

2009:

  • April 2 - Amended to include ARRA projects and reflect By-Law Changes to include Assumption and Lockport.
  • May 14 - Amended to reflect changes in from May 14 Policy Committee meeting. Finalized ARRA projects and added backup projects.
  • June 24 - Administratively Changed Neel-Schaffer’s latest project cost estimates.
  • June 11 - Administratively Changed several ARRA project names to match with DOTD project names. Removed LA 1 @ Justin Street and Church Street Intersection Improvements at Lockport’s request.
  • June 22 - Administratively Changed and corrected typos.
  • June 26 - Administratively Changed Prospect Street Bridge's funding from FFY 2009-2010 / $13,000,000 / STPFLEX-DEMO to FFY 2008-2009 / $28,000,000 / STPFLEX-DEMO.
  • July 15 - Administratively Changed Prospect Street Bridge funding source to FBRON/DEMO.
  • August 4 - Administratively Changed adding correct funding sources to some FBRON projects that were previously left blank.
  • August 6 - Administratively Changed ITS Phase III funding from FFY 2010-2011 / $2,000,000 (State Share) / State DOTD Construction to FFY 2009-2010 / $1,6000,000 (Fed Share), $4000,000 (State Share) / DEMO.
  • August 13 - Amended to reflect changes in LA 57 Widening. Changed construction costs from $6,957,000 to $12,000,000.
  • August 18 - Administratively Changed the names of LA 1 @ LA 1247 Intersection Improvement to LA 1 @ LA 1247 Asphalt Overlay and LA 1010 @ LA 398 to LA 398 @ LA 1010 Intersection Improvements.
  • October 30 - Administratively Changed the name of LA 1 @ Control Section 064-06 to Overlay of LA 1 in Matthews.
  • December 15 - Administratively Changed ARRA projects in Assumption Parish. Deleted LA 398 @ LA 1010 Intersection Improvement at the request of Assumption Parish officials. Increased funding to LA 1 @ LA 1247 Asphalt Overlay.
