Transportation Improvement Program

The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is an intermediate-range planning document that reflects the transportation expenditures that are planned to be spent over the next four years. Project details are provided, such as project description, cost, funding source, and funding year. The TIP contains information on planning studies, road improvements, and transit. It is updated every four years.

January 26, 2023: Amended by the adjust the scope of Pedestrian Improvements: LA 1, Audubon Ave. Bowie Roadto include an additional intersection.
February 6, 2023: Administrative modification to project H.013453 BAYOU BLUE (LA 316) SIDEWALKS increasing the engineering phase from to $173,280.
May 4, 2023: Amended to include the project H.013116 LA 20 Widen: LA 307 – S. Vacherie: Environmental Phase at $225K HSIPPEN at 100% in FFY 2023; Construction Phase of $17.1M in HSIPPEN at 90/10% in FFY 2023.
May 12, 2023: Administrative modification to make technical corrections in the document and H.013116 LA 20 WIDEN: LA 307 – S. VACHERIE change Environmental Phase from $225k in HSIPPEN at 100% in FFY 2023 to $1M in HSIPPEN at 100% in FFY 2023.
July 27, 2023: Administrative modification to H.015654 CITY OF THIBODAUX PED IMPROVEMENTS: LA 1, BOWIE ROAD, AUDUBON AVENUE change construction phase from FFY 23 to FFY 26. Administrative modification to H.013714 VALHI BOULEVARD SHARED-USE PATH (HOUMA) to change construction phase from $350k in HSIPPEN at 100% and $63,492.40 in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024 to $350k in HSIPPEN at 100% and $63,492.40 in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2025. Amendment to H.014802 LA316 & LA 24: MILL,OVRLY,GRADE RAISING,HFST to add construction phase $3.58M in STGEN, $1.535M in HSIPPEN at 100% and $600k in PROTECT at 80/20 in FFY 2024. Amendment to H.014849 US 90: 0.9 MI W LA 311 – MCMAHON CANAL to add construction phase $17.5M in NHPP at 80/20 and $xx in DEMO in FFY 2023. August 2, 2023: Administrative Modification: Lafourche Council on Aging recieved FTA Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities funding to purchase (2) 12 passenger vehicles totaling $280,852.00 (85% federal share of $238,724.20; 13.8% local match of $38,757.58; 1.2% Parish Transportation funds of $3,370.22).
September 15, 2023: Administrative modification to H.013269 AUDUBON AVE OVLY: LA 1 TO TERREBONNE P/L to increase the Construction phase from $469,380 in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024 to $1.2M in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024. Administrative modfication to H.013340 VALHI BLVD, MULTI-USE TRAIL, PHASE 1 to decrease construction phase from $973,020 in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024 to $890k in STP50-200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024.
October 26, 2023: Amended to remove the following projects from HTMPO ‘s 2023-2026 TIP: H.013402 LA1 & LA308 PED & MULTIUSE PATH (LOCKPORT), H.013404 LA 1 SIDEWALKS (CUT-OFF), and H.013490 CENTRAL LAFOURCHE MULTI-USE PATH PH 1A. Amendment to H.013714 VALHI BLVD SHARED-USE PATH (HOUMA) to add Engineering phase $139k in HSIPPEN at 100% in FFY 2024. Amendment to include H.015662 VALENTINE PONTOON BRIDGE (HBI) add Environmental phase $62.5k in LOCAL in FFY 2024; add Engineering phase $693.5 in LOCAL in FFY 2024; add Construction phase $3.3M in EARMARK at 80/20, $1.2M in FBROFF at 80/20 and $1.6M in LOCAL in FFY 2025. Amended H.972506.1 (HTMPO TRANS PLAN UPDATE SFYS 2024-2025) to add $275,000 STP50-200K funding at 80/20 in FFY 2024.
November 16, 2023: Administrative modification to H.015662 VALENTINE PONTOON BRIDGE (HBI) to move Environmental phase $62.5k in LOCAL and Engineering phase $693.5 in LOCAL from FFY 2024 to FFY 2023.
December 15, 2023: Administrative Modification to Canal Boulevard Overlay: Jackson Street to LA 1 to move $145,560 STP50-200k from FFY 2023 to FFY 2024.
January 25, 2024: Amended H.013403 LA 20 & LA 304 SIDEWALK IMP (CHACKBAY): Remove Engineering phase $40k in STP50-<200k at 80/20 in FFY 2023 remove Construction phase $262,710 in STP50-<200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024.
April 25, 2024: Amended H.012859 CIVIC CENTER BLVD @ VALHI BLVD to add Engineering phase $375,757 in STP>200k at 80/20 in FFY 2024.
